Compatibility of SpreadsheetWEB with Microsoft Excel 2007

SpreadsheetWEB can be used with Microsoft Excel 2007. There is currently only one restriction: Microsoft Excel's new default file format is not supported, yet.

To use SpreadsheetWEB with Microsoft Excel 2007 save your file as an "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 workbook" before starting conversion with the SpreadsheetWEB Wizard. Please find short instructions how to do this below.

 

Installation

After the installation of SpreadsheetWEB on a system with Microsoft Excel 2007 the SpreadsheetWEB menu will be located in "Add-Ins" in the Microsoft Excel menu. In the screenshot underneath a red box shows the location of the "Add-ins" menu item.

Once you click "Add-Ins", the SpreadsheetWEB menu item will appear. Click it to open the full menu.

Before conversion: Save Microsoft Excel as a 97-2003 workbook

Before starting conversion with the SpreadsheetWEB Wizard, Microsoft Excel workbooks must be saved as "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 workbooks". To do this, click the "Office Button", which you find in the top-left corner of Microsoft Excel 2007. Go to "Save As" and then click "Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Workbook".

Once the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet is saved as Microsoft Excel 97-2003 workbook it is fully compatible with SpreadsheetWEB.
