Newton, MA, January 11, 2021 – Pagos announces the release of SpreadsheetWeb 6.21 with the introduction of the new AI-driven application builder for trial accounts.
While SpreadsheetWeb applications benefit from the logic and structure of an existing Excel file, the user interface controls and other features still need to be defined manually by the end user. Therefore, building a web application on SpreadsheetWeb comes with a learning curve, like all No-Code development platforms.
With the goal of simplifying the development process for first-time SpreadsheetWeb users, we began development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based approach several years ago. In this version, we have made an early implementation of our AI available to our trial users. Trial users can upload their Excel files and use the “auto generate application” feature to initiate the AI-driven process. Our AI will analyze the file and suggest possible application layouts. With this, the system automatically incorporates the user interface, calculations, and appropriate database structure into the web application.
Creating a web application from a spreadsheet using an AI-based system has its challenges. We have been building our algorithms and training our Artificial Intelligence for years to achieve this. As a result, our AI can currently handle simple files with a high level of success, and we are working to continue improving our AI to handle more complex spreadsheets over time.
“We believe trial users will benefit most from our AI based approach,” says Ugur Kadakal, CEO of Pagos, and adds: “This will virtually eliminate the learning curve, enabling new users to create web applications on our platform quickly. They can subsequently edit the AI-generated application to add more advanced features and layouts. We believe this represents the most balanced approach to application building, allowing our users to generate applications rapidly, while we continue adding improvements to our AI processing.”
Pagos helps businesses translate their employees’ collective Microsoft Excel expertise into robust web applications, empowering them to create secure, responsive, database-driven applications directly from their Excel spreadsheets. This provides companies with a higher level of governance for critical information and – combined with built-in workflow and reporting capabilities – offers an end-to-end platform for business users seeking to create and manage their own web applications.
