Needham, MA, October 11, 2021 – Pagos announces the release of SpreadsheetWeb 6.25, introducing support for Excel’s new and powerful XLOOKUP formula.
Searching for data in large data tables, matching them to certain criteria, and returning a specific value based on the results found is a very common use case in spreadsheet applications. This allows users to find price, size, name, or essentially any property of an item in a data table.
In Excel, data lookup has been traditionally done using the VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP formulas. Both are widely utilized by Excel users, but as useful as they are, they unfortunately also had some drawbacks when it comes to direction of the search and selecting the search area.
Introduced recently, the new XLOOKUP formula is Excel’s all-in-one solution to all data lookup functionalities. This formula combines the vertical and horizontal lookup formulas, while also adding new capabilities, like the ability to display error messages when no results are found and new match mode options.
Starting with the 6.25 version, SpreadsheetWeb now supports the XLOOKUP function. SpreadsheetWeb’s calculation engine can handle this new lookup formula with ease and allow users to find and use data in their calculation models more efficiently.
“VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP formulas are the bread and butter of Excel. Many Excel users have been relying on these formulas to find and use data inside large data tables and creating reports. However, both these formulas have been lacking in some features, and the new XLOOKUP formula has been a huge boon for Excel power-users.” says Ugur Kadakal, CEO of Pagos, and adds: “We are proud to now have introduced support for the new XLOOKUP function. We are confident that this will allow our users to create even more robust applications effortlessly”.
